James Blunt has postponed the Australian and New Zealand legs of his Once Upon a Mind tour due to the coronavirus.

The singer-songwriter announced the sad news in a lengthy Instagram post this week.

‘Frontier Touring regret to advise that due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and Government restrictions, the planned November 2020 Australian and New Zealand tour has been cancelled,’ he wrote.

‘Given the ongoing global events, these dates have been rescheduled to March and April 2021.

‘As soon as we know more about any changes to other upcoming dates, we’ll let you know.’

He finished: ‘Stay safe, and I’ll make sure it’s worth the wait!’

James recently joined Gary Barlow for a powerful performance in the latest episode of Gary’s Crooner Sessions series.

The Take that singer, 49, and the You’re Beautiful crooner, 46, joined forces for a rendition of James’ 2013 hit, Bonfire Heart from his album, Moon Landing.

Gary started off the video by going ‘alright James, are you ready for this? Let’s do it’ as James started strumming his guitar.

The pals showcased their silken vocal as they got into the song with Gary clad in a relaxed ensemble of a slogan print tee and sporting a handsome smattering of stubble.

James opted for a pink tee-, denim shorts and a baseball cap as he played the guitar and sang with Gary.

At the end of the performance, the duo had an ‘air-hug’ from their respective living rooms with James saying ‘let’s hug it out. You’re amazing.’
