Natalie Bassingthwaighte and her husband play tennis in Byron Bay

Natalie Bassingthwaighte, 44, flaunts her athletic figure in a singlet and shorts as she plays tennis in Byron Bay with husband Cameron McGlinchey

She played money-hungry homewrecker Isabelle ‘Izzy’ Hoyland on Neighbours from 2003 to 2007.

But luckily for Natalie Bassingthwaighte, her real life is far more harmonious than the fictional world she inhabited on Ramsay Street.

The actress and singer, 44, enjoyed a game of tennis with her husband, Cameron McGlinchey, near their home in Byron Bay last Friday.

The Rogue Traders frontwoman showed off her athletic frame in a low-cut black singlet and matching shorts.

She wrapped an animal print sweater around her waist, and completed her sport look with white sneakers and sunglasses.

Natalie opted for a practical hairstyle by bundling her blonde locks into a messy bun.

Meanwhile, drummer Cameron, also 44, wore matching shades, a slogan T-shirt and black shorts.

Last month, Natalie explained why she had been ‘offline in recent weeks’.

The mother-of-two said that self-isolation, homeschooling her children and general introspection about her life and career had been behind her social media detox.

Her family had relocated from Melbourne to Byron Bay in February, a month before COVID-19 was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization.

Natalie and her husband married in 2011, seven years after she joined the electronic rock band Rogue Traders as their vocalist.

Before lockdown began, there had been rumours the group would reunite.

‘I may be going back into the studio next year but you will just have to wait and see what that means,’ the frontwoman said in December.

‘We still have as much energy as we always have, I just feel like it is slicker in a way,’ she added.
