Bachelor star Monique Morley claims producers ‘stitched her up’ with ‘intruder’ role entrance

‘They wanted me to be raunchy, sexy and dumb’: Former Bachelor star Monique Morley claims producers manipulated her ‘role’ on Channel 10 show and banned her spiritual crystal gift for Matt Agnew

Monique Morley became one of The Bachelor’s most memorable intruders when she appeared on Matt Agnew’s season last year.

But the Australian star claims she was led astray and ‘stitched up’ by Channel 10 producers on how her role in the mansion would unfold.

Like most red carpet arrivals on the reality show, the girls were given the opportunity to present a gift to the suitor/suitress, which Monique was looking forward to doing.

‘I was stitched up’: Bachelor star Monique Morley (pictured) has claimed producers banned her gift for Matt Agnew and misled her on ‘intruder’ role entrance

She claims she had a gift prepared for Matt, a crystal, but producers ‘stitched [her] up’ and didn’t let her enter the show with it on the night.

‘They didn’t picture me as the crystal-spiritual girl. With the music they had, they wanted me to be this raunchy, sexy, dumb s**t,’ Monique revealed on Wednesday.

Appearing on her friend Christie Swadling’s YouTube show, the reality TV star detailed her experience on the popular darting series.

Monique claimed when she was recruited for the program she was told she would be placed in a ‘second batch’ of stars to make filming easier.

'All of the girls were sitting there like an audience': Monique claimed the small group of eight 'second-wave girls' were told they wouldn't meet the other girls initially, but were then made to enter the cocktail party with all eyes on them

‘We [her and seven other women] were the intruders, but I didn’t actually know that. We were left out of that topic,’ she claimed.

She said producers told her that being in the ‘smaller group’ would be ‘way more beneficial’ for her as Bachelor Matt would remember her name better.

Monique added that they pumped up her ego and told her they thought she was going to ‘go far’ in the competition.

However, when she got ready for her arrival to the mansion things began to appear less than ideal.

‘They didn’t picture me as the crystal-spiritual girl’: Monique said she had planned to gift Matt a crystal, but was told by producers she didn’t need it and ‘was enough’ on her own

‘When there’s 28 girls and you’re the last lot, there’s not as much to choose from [from the stylists]. So I was like “okay, this is probably the only one that will fit me”,’ she said of choosing her outfit to wow Matt in.

Monique also claims she was told she wouldn’t meet the other girls initially, but was then made to enter the cocktail party with all eyes on her.

‘All of the girls were sitting there like an audience, and all you can hear is whispering,’ she recalled of first night on the show.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Channel 10 for comment.

Monique was later removed from the show by scientist Matt after the infamous ‘dog c**t’ scandal.
