Supermodel Elle Macpherson, 56, sends fans into a frenzy as she shows off her age-defying looks

She reached peak supermodel status in the Eighties thanks to her incredible body and stunning features. 

And on Monday, Elle Macpherson, 56, proved she’s still got it, showing off her age-defying features in a makeup free selfie. 

The Australian beauty sent fans into a frenzy when she posted the picture of herself on Instagram.

In the image, Elle wore a beige knit and and went completely makeup free with her long blonde locks tied up into a messy bun.

Elle – who was dubbed ‘The Body’ by Time magazine in 1989 – showed off her side profile in the image by looking off camera. 

‘No makeup and still killing it!’ one fan gushed. 

‘Even when you’re not all made up…  you are absolutely gorgeous!!’ another remarked underneath the image.  

‘Just so beautiful,’ one added.

Earlier this week, Elle revealed her beauty secrets in an IGTV chat with Australian skin doctor, Dr Joseph Hkeik.

She said not only does she use her own WelleCo products to keep healthy and glowing, but she also loves using a cream from Augustinus Bader. 

The 15ml version retails at around $144. 

Elle also uses Dr Barbara Sturm’s Rich Face Cream, which retails for approximately $292.

She said she does a ‘proper cleanse’ at nighttime and then applies moisturiser so her skin ‘gets the hydration it needs.’

Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar Australia in January last year, Elle said she aims to exercise each day at 6.30am. 

‘I’ll either do some yoga or I’ll jump on my bike and ride to the beach for a swim. If I’m on the road, I’ll bring my running shoes and go for a jog or walk – I love to explore any new surroundings and getting outside,’ she said.

And Elle, who has covered the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue a record five times, usually eats breakfast at 8am.

‘Sometimes it’s a Nourishing Protein smoothie made with hemp milk, half a banana, and one scoop of WelleCo Nourishing Protein in chocolate,’ she explained. 

‘If I want something hot, I’ll have one poached egg on sunflower or wheat-free dark rye bread, oatmeal with agave, or a chia tea pudding soaked in almond milk.’

Elle added that her sweet treats are dark chocolate, espresso and whipped cream.
