The Voice Australia: Delta Goodrem falls off Josh Pywell’s shoulders during first episode

‘How heavy do you think I am?’ Delta Goodrem FALLS OVER as contestant on The Voice performs squats with her on his shoulders

The return of The Voice almost left Delta Goodrem injured on Sunday night.

After the accident-prone coach first tripped up getting into her chair, she then tumbled off the shoulders of contestant Josh Pywell later in the episode.

During a bizarre moment, the aspiring artist and passionate weightlifter squatted with Delta on his shoulders, before she then struggled to safely get down.

‘I’ve taken up professional weight lifting. I’m aiming to lift 300kg this year,’ said Josh to the coaches after his successful audition, where he sang Run To Paradise.

Guy Sebastian then came up with a cheeky plan, asking him: ‘Do you reckon you could do a push up with Delta sitting on your back?’

Delta laughed in response: ‘How heavy do you think I am?’

Keen to show off his muscles as well as his voice, the contestant had a better idea.

‘I reckon I could go one better and squat her on my shoulders,’ he declared.

Delta climbed onto Josh’s shoulders as he proceeded to squat. Kelly Rowland gasped in disbelief as he managed to do it with complete ease, wearing skinny jeans.

It was only then as Delta attempted to get down that she risked an injury.

Accident-prone! Earlier in the episode, a barefoot Delta tripped as she climbed into her chair. She muttered 'oh sugar' as she did so - appearing to almost swear

Struggling to return to her feet, the Innocent Eyes singer ended up tumbling off Josh completely. Thankfully she was caught by Guy, who was stood in front of her.

If Guy wasn’t there, Delta likely would have fallen face first onto the stage floor.
