Sutton Stracke claims she was demoted from castmate after her ex blocked their kids from appearing

RHOBH persona Sutton Stracke claims she was demoted from castmate to ‘friend’ after her ex blocked their kids from appearing on screen

Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills’ Sutton Stracke says she was demoted from core castmate to a mere ‘friend’ after her ex-husband forbid her from including their three kids in the show.

The reality personality, 49, explained how she was downgraded to writer Kate Casey on her podcast, Reality Life With Kate Casey, saying that while she was ‘excited’ to give people a peek into her life, she ‘gets’ why her ex Christian Stracke was against it.

‘My ex-husband just was adamant that they could not film with me and I totally get it,’ she told the gossip expert

Her theory: Sutton Stracke thinks she was demoted from an official Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star to a ‘friend’ because her ex wouldn’t let their children appear in the show

Sutton and Christian were wed in 2000. They originally met as teenagers and sparked a romance after reconnecting years later.

They had three kids – daughter Porter and sons Philip and James -before divorcing in 2017.

Mr. Stracke is a managing director at the investment management firm PIMCO, which is known for its strict no-media policy, a possible reason why the Stracke kids are not on the show.

While Sutton understood the situation, Sutton says she was still disappointed by the way things panned out.

‘It was hard,’ she said. ‘It was a hard blow because, you know, it’s exciting to do. And I wanted also viewers to see me with my kids and me at home. And it’s the softer side, I think, of all of us.

‘When you get to see all of the ladies at home with their kids and their families, it’s kind of like, you know, you don’t they don’t show that much of it. It’s clearly not that interesting. But it’s the soft underbelly of who these women are. And I’m sorry that we can’t see that this season.’

And though she didn’t make first string, Sutton was still happy to join the show.

Difficult: While she said she understood his decision, Sutton explained it was still a 'hard blow' because she was so excited to do the show and see her 'softer side'

‘I needed to be a role model for my daughter,’ she said. ‘Like come on, get yourself together and start doing something for yourself to make her proud.

‘And actually, my boys, too, they always wanted to know what I did all day. And it was like nothing. Like go to the gym. I don’t know.

‘I didn’t have like a real purpose besides taking care of them. So it’s been fun to watch them watch me and then the show came up at this really opportune time and I think I finally had the guts to do something like this and take a risk.’
