‘The restaurant is an amazing concept!’ Kate Langbroek celebrates going out for the first time after months of lockdown in Italy

After months of being in lockdown in Italy, Kate Langbroek has revealed she was finally able to dine out at a restaurant.

Appearing on The Project on Thursday, the 54-year-old media personality giddily recounted her experience of eating out after months of cooking at home.

‘Oh, it was alright! It was alright… The restaurant is an amazing concept,’ she joked.

‘All you have to do is go in and sit down, and they do everything else! You don’t even have to know them.

‘They bring you food. And none of the crockery is chipped, the glasses are all clean. No one is fighting in the background. You don’t have to stack the dishwasher. They won’t even let you go in the kitchen!’

Kate admitted it was hard deciding which restaurant to go to, cheekily confessing to feeling ‘first night pressure’.

But she said things were a lot ‘quieter’ than she expected, with many of the locals still reluctant to go out.

‘We were expecting it to be sort of festive and like a bit crazy and free out on the streets. But it was still very subdued,’ she added.

‘A lot of places were closed. A lot of bars were closed.’
