Rachael Arahill has revealed she was in a ‘physically and emotionally’ abusive relationship as a teenager.

‘He was quite abusive, physically and emotionally, because he was just f**ked on ice,’ she told co-host, Jackson Brunner.

Despite admitting it ‘was a lot’ for a 16-year-old to handle, Rachael felt she’d learnt important lessons which helped to protect her in the future.

‘It was a learning curve and I’m so glad I got to have that experience and experience it young because obviously, I got out of it pretty safely and some people die,’ she said.

She added: ‘It’s made me such a strong person today and nothing can really affect me cause I just feel like I’ve been through a lot.’

Rachael rose to fame as the ‘villain’ when she appeared on Matt Agnew’s season of The Bachelor last year.

After failing to secure much alone time with the suitor, she was axed after striking up a connection with a male member of the crew.

She then started dating co-star Vakoo Kauapirura after finding love while filming but they soon broke up.

Last month, she confirmed she was approached to be on the next season of Married At First Sight.

However, Rachael immediately shut down the offer, vowing to never do another reality TV dating show again.

‘Can you imagine if I had the audacity, after what happened last time on The Bachelor, to go on another reality show looking for love?’ she said in an Instagram video.

‘I would literally never, ever, ever sign my life away to a contract again and I advise that none of you ever do it either,’ she added.
