A bus driver was caught punching, kicking and spitting at a man on the street during a bus journey in a daylight brawl.

The incident in Peckham, London was caught on camera as bus 171 parked along the road and the driver is on the pavement.

The bus driver, dressed in full uniform, is seen beating up a man on the pavement in a full-blown fight.

Several onlookers watched in horror as the fight quickly escalated. 

The man tried to push the driver away but the driver continued throwing punches at the man and even spat on him.

The man can be heard saying: ‘You f***ing ran me over twice! What did you run me over for you f***ing… I’ve never done anything wrong!’

A concerned passenger then emerges from the bus to calm the driver down. 

The bus driver got back inside the bus and drove away from the scene.

The capital is locked down amid the coronavirus crisis, and ministers have been urging Britons to avoid public transport to reduce the spread of the disease.

Passenger numbers on London buses have fallen in recent weeks.

TfL has been contacted for comment about the incident.
