Married At First Sight: Steve Burley breaks silence on hair transplant rumours

Married At First Sight’s Steve Burley breaks silence on hair transplant rumours after fans notice a VERY bizarre detail about his quiff

Married At First Sight’s Steve Burley has denied having a hair transplant after rumours recently swirled about his bizarre hairline.

The Melbourne-based barber explained that he initially shaved his forehead to emphasise his famous quiff.

On Wednesday, the 52-year-old told a fan he’s now ‘naturally growing’ the front part of his hair out, and insisted his tresses are all natural after being trolled over the strange style.

In the meantime, Steve has ditched his quiff and is now wearing his hair down to cover up the gradually growing tufts on his forehead.

‘I’ve been hammered for my fringe, so I’m on the way back. Now get off my back haha,’ Steve joked as he debuted his new trendy hairstyle this week.

‘Get excited my hairline is on its way back,’ he added.

During his time on MAFS, Steve chose to shave back his V-shaped hairline, sometimes known as a widow’s peak, so it was evenly straight and slicked it into a fashionable quiff.

In April, Steve finally revealed why he started shaving his forehead after fans picked up on the detail and were confused as to why he’d purposely recede his hair.

‘Yes I used to shave my forehead after a barber cut my hair like that,’ he said.

‘I’m growing it back. I had my hairline done like this years and years ago.’

He added that he ‘now regrets it’ after the speculation about his appearance.

Now that Married At First Sight has finished filming, Steve spends his days managing Kingsman Barbers in Melbourne’s inner south-east.

While he doesn’t cut hair himself anymore, he speaks with customers and sometimes enjoys a game of pool with them while they wait.

He was ‘married’ to Mishel Karen on the reality show, but they failed to find love.
