‘This one is from 1953, one of the years she did live here. And it had some circled areas around some different branding articles.’

Lifting up the carpet on her stairs to reveal a white and blue painted pattern on the steps, she went on: ‘We also uncovered these stairs while lifting up some old carpet.

‘Of course I found her signature while changing lightbulbs one day in the kitchen.’

The two-story house was shared by Marilyn and baseball player Joe during their short-lived marriage in 1954.

Built in 1938, the walled and gated home overlooks the 160-acre park Runyon Canyon and boasts four bedrooms, four-and-a-half bathrooms, a ‘tower room’ – now used as an office – and a living room with a wood-beamed ceiling.

The 3,335-square-foot house also includes a two-car garage, a grotto-like pool and spa on the 8,228-square-foot grassy lot.

According to property records, the home was listed for sale in late December 2018 for £2.18million and sold in February last year for £24,300 over the asking price.

Listing agent Neal Baddin, of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, said there was a bidding war between three parties, but the buyers were a young couple and ‘perfect for the house’ because ‘she looks like Marilyn Monroe, and he looks like Joe DiMaggio’, reported Mansion Global.

Jasmine, who moved to Los Angeles three years ago, loves to show off her home on social media and often opens up about her paranormal experiences there.

The home still boasts original light fixtures, art, bathtubs, tiling and even towels from when Marilyn lived there.

Speaking in one of her videos, Jasmine said: ‘Here we are in the most haunted room in the house. This bed mysteriously broke one night and there’s original shelving and a chandelier.

‘Here we are in the guest bathroom this an original copper 1930s tub which would have been here when Marilyn was here.

‘Here as well, we have a sink and vanity and mirror; we’ll be restoring it back to its original form.’

The blogger, who has amassed an impressive 95.8k followers on Instagram, moved to LA three years ago after acting in various BBC kids shows and doing a masters degree in acting.

On one of her TikTok videos, she told how before she embarked on her career, she didn’t think ‘life was worth living’ as her parents went through a ‘nasty divorce’ and she failed all her exams.

‘I had to get some money in so I started acting in various BBC kids shows and then I realised my love for film production and I had to pursue it,’ she said.

‘I applied to do my masters in film production and I got in. I didn’t realise at the age of 22 I’d be moving to LA all on my own with no family not knowing anything about LA and then keep pursuing my career which I still am today.’

She added: ‘I didn’t realise I would meet my future husband – who dresses vintage too – and live in my dream home which is Marilyn Monroe’s house. Never give up on your dreams.’

The house is part of one of Hollywood’s most intense and short-lived relationships.

Marilyn began dating Joe DiMaggio, center fielder for the New York Yankees, in March 1952 – just a few months he had retired from baseball, aged just 36, because of injuries. He allegedly arrived for their first dinner together two hours late.

That September, Marilyn began filming Billy Wilder’s The Seven Year Itch, which includes the legendary scene of her standing on a New York subway grate as steam blows up her white dress.

During the summer of 1952, Marilyn and DiMaggio began to date more regularly and on New Year’s Eve 1953, Joe asked her to marry him.

On October 27, 1954, just nine months after her wedding – Marilyn stood before a judge and detailed her reasons for her divorce petition.

She said DiMaggio was ‘cold and indifferent’ to her and that days would go by when he wouldn’t speak to her. DiMaggio didn’t make an appearance and the divorce was granted.
