Don’t call me ‘grandma’! Maria Shriver, 64, says she’s coming up with ‘her own name’ for when daughter Katherine Schwarzenegger gives birth
Maria Shriver is not here for being called a “grandma.”
In an interview on Entertainment Tonight, Maria, 64, was asked how she felt about becoming a grandmother, now that her daughter Katherine Schwarzenegger, 30, has her first baby on the way, with husband Chris Pratt, 40
“I’m not embracing that name exactly. I’m gonna come up with my own name,” she said, while sitting with son Patrick Schwarzenegger, 26, who she is quarantining with.

“I’ll just do mama,” she then added. “No, I can’t do that. I’ve got to do something else. I’ll think of it. I’ll figure it out.”
However, while she may think the name grandma doesn’t suit her – that’s not say she’s not excited for her daughter’s big milestone in becoming a mother.
Maria gushed: “I’m really proud of her. Obviously, she and Chris are super happy, so I feel like I won the lottery for Mother’s Day.”

New addition: Chris and Katherine started dating in June 2018, and they were engaged in January 2019, with the couple tying the knot in June 2019.
Meanwhile Patrick chimed in with, “I never think of it like that. I always forget you’re going to be a grandma. I guess I’m gonna be an uncle. That’s weird too.”
Last month, Maria had Chris and Katherine Pratt as ‘surprise’ guests on her IG Live #HomeTogether chat, where she spoke for the first time about her grandchild.
Chris praised Maria and Katherine’s show, stating, ‘I really love what you’re doing. This is really fun, and being right here, right now, it’s just uncanny, you guys are both just so beautiful. I’m so lucky to have married into such a gorgeous family.’

Maria responded, ‘You’re gonna have another beautiful family member,’ referring to Chris and Katherine’s child.
Chris and Katherine started dating in June 2018, and they were engaged in January 2019, with the couple tying the knot in June 2019.
Maria divorced ex-husband Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2011 after 25 years of marriage.
