In one snap, Lucy appeared confused or agitated as she grimaced while looking at the camera.

In another, the star showed she had been upset at some point in recent days as she posted a close-up shot of a tear rolling down her face.

Meanwhile, the actress also indulged in her beauty regime as she uploaded a photo of herself wearing heavy makeup with her blonde locks tied in a ponytail.

Alongside the post, Lucy wrote: ‘A week in emotions xoxo hope you’re all ok and enjoying your Sunday x’.

It comes just weeks after Lucy made her final appearance on the Cobbles as she said goodbye to her role as Bethany Platt for now.

Lucy told This Morning last month that her mother Angela warned her against leaving the show, fearing that she wouldn’t work again.

‘Mum wasn’t very pleased,’ she said. ‘Mum said: “I thought, no don’t go!” As a mum she probably worries that I won’t work again!’

‘I think it was mainly because Corrie was my first job and I’ve not done anything else.’

Lucy gushed about the stalwart soap, which she has been a part of for half a decade.

‘I’ve had loads of amazing storylines and [leaving] was now or never; I didn’t want to get to a point where I looked back and wished I’d tried other things.

‘I’m going to miss everyone. It’s like a family.’
