‘I knew something was wrong’: The Veronicas’ Lisa Origliasso reveals she was rushed to hospital for emergency surgery due to ectopic pregnancy

The Veronicas’ Lisa Origliasso has revealed she recently suffered an ectopic pregnancy after falling pregnant with her husband Logan Huffman’s child.

An ectopic pregnancy occurs when the fertilised egg implants outside the uterus – often in the fallopian tube – and can lead to serious health risks for the mother.

The Australian singer, 35, revealed her heartbreaking news via Instagram on Sunday, telling fans that she didn’t want to pretend her life was ‘perfect’ on social media.

Having tied the knot in November 2018, Lisa and Logan were ecstatic to be starting the next chapter of their lives together.

Lisa went on to describe the experience as one of the darkest times of her life.

‘Inevitably, I know one day we will have a family. But it just wouldn’t feel right to share the good news in the future, without paying respect, love and bringing awareness to the heartbreaking journey so many women and couples face everyday,’ she wrote.

Lisa and Logan got married at a hipster ceremony on the Sunshine Coast in November 2018.

The spiritually diverse day incorporated a smorgasbord of religions, from Christianity and Buddhism to Shinto and Hinduism, and was officiated by a high priestess.

‘An integral part of our pre-ceremony above all else, was to show respect to the rightful owners of the land on which we wed,’ said Logan afterwards.
