She’s the world-renowned supermodel who’s carved out an impressive career in the fashion industry spanning over 30 years.
And Naomi Campell, 49, has dismissed the word ‘retire’ and told how she’ll simply walk away from the catwalk when she’s ready, stating: ‘If I don’t wanna do it any more, I just won’t do it’.
The south London-born star also told how she’ll feel ‘blessed’ to reach her 50th birthday amid the coronavirus pandemic and vowed to make changes in her life when it’s over.

Having made her first public appearance in 1978 aged just seven in the video for Bob Marley’s Is This Love, Naomi hit the big time in 1986 when she was spotted by a model scout while shopping in Covent Garden.
Since then, her career skyrocketed and she became one of the most in-demand models of her generation, as well as paving the way for others after becoming the first black model to appear on the cover of French Vogue.
However, as she nears her fifth decade, Naomi told how she despises the word ‘retire’ and reckons it will be a while before she’s ready to to stop working as she’s still really ‘active’.

She told The Sunday Times’ Style magazine: ‘I don’t like the word ‘retire’. If I don’t wanna do it any more, I just won’t do it. But I’m never gonna say that. I’m someone who’s extremely active. I like to be active and I think I’m always going to be active.’
Meanwhile, amid the worldwide coronavirus crisis, the star admitted that she’d feel ‘blessed’ to reach her next birthday and will strive to ‘get everything out’ of what one is supposed to from the pandemic.
She said: ‘Frankly, if I am here on May 22, in isolation, I’m blessed. I wanna get everything out of what we’re supposed to get out of this. I’m no saint, or whatever, but I wanna be still enough to catch this wave.’
Elsewhere, the businesswoman previously told how she plans to ‘simplify’ her life after the COVID-19 pandemic ends.

She said: ‘There’s a lot of things I would not do the same. I want to simplify my life in many different ways … I don’t think it’s ever gonna go back the same, in terms of the hygiene. For me, never.
‘But when we get this … I will call it a new reset because I really felt like the planet, Mother Nature, needed a break. I felt like a lot of gluttony and excess that this truly was just like, It’s too much.’
Meanwhile, after previously admitted she only eats one meal per day, Naomi revealed more about her daily schedule, as she told how she can’t leave the house without praying and showering.
The model discussed her daily routine during her No Filter with Naomi episode with Serena and Venus Williams.

She revealed: ‘That’s just an automatic. Get up. Hit the floor. Pray,’

The YouTube host, who is currently locked down in New York also added: ‘Perfume is so important.’
It comes just days after Supermodel Naomi revealed she ‘only really eats once a day’.
The star, who turns 50 next month, has dinner at lunch time – and that’s it.
According to The Sun, Naomi said: ‘I eat my lunch. Lunch is my dinner, because I really only eat once a day.’
