PEDIATRIC nurse Beth Porch wowed the judges on Britain’s Got Talent and brought viewers to tears with her audition and rendition of her own song You Taught Me What Love Is.
The Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) nurse has returned to work after recovering from Coronavirus and her song is now available to download with all proceeds going to the NHS and GOSH.

Who is Beth Porch?
25-year-old London-based nurse Beth Porch reduced BGT judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon to tears with her acoustic performance of her own song, You Taught Me What Love Is.
In the second episode of the current series of BGT, Beth performed the song and wowed the judges and viewers with her beautiful voice and emotional song inspired by her work as a nurse at GOSH.
Introducing herself to the audience she explained: “The song I’ve written today is what I’ve learned about my patients and their families, that’s what inspired this song.”
The talented singer songwriter, originally from Devon, sailed through to the next round of the competition.
Beth’s audition was filmed earlier this year and she is currently back working after battling Covid-19 herself.
She was inspired to go on BGT after a video of her playing a ukulele and singing the McFly hit All About You to three-year-old patient Artie Vickerage, went viral last year.

Talking to The Sun after a 12½-hour night shift, Beth said: “I might have done quite well with the judges and got a few people on their feet, but honestly there are some two-year-olds who will cry their eyes out as soon as I start singing.
“So yeah, it’s honestly harder to impress them than Simon!”
Beth has worked as a nurse at GOSH for five years, adding: “Obviously it’s very emotionally demanding work.

“This song was just a way for me to process my feelings at what was a difficult time.
“It’s a homage to all my patients, their families and what they have to go through.
“A lot of those kids are coming to us to be first diagnosed, but for a lot of them, they are relapsing and starting to run out of options.”

Proceeds will go to NHS Charities Together as well as Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.
This donation will include at least 50p for each download sold in the UK shared equally between the two chosen charities.
