Soon afterwards, Cathy Brown (played by Jennifer Gibney, 55) asked Eamonn and Ruth about how long they have been presenting together.
The star said: “So Eamonn and Ruth you’ve been presenting together for what 14 years now?” to which Ruth replied with: “Oh at least. 18 years.”
Eamonn, who was sat next to Ruth on the sofa, then cheekily added: “Is that all?”
Once the couple answered Cathy, Agnes persisted to joke with the pair by asking: “How do you do that with working with your wife every day?,” which left Ruth to confidently hit back with: “It’s the gin. The gin gets me through.”
