Piers Morgan Instagram: Good Morning Britain host on first meet with Susanna Reid | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Good Morning Britain star Piers Morgan has reflected on the time he and his co-host Susanna Reid, 49, first met 14 years ago. The ITV broadcaster revealed how he met Susanna back in 2006 while sharing an incredible throwback picture of the two of them.

Piers, who has presented Good Morning Britain alongside Susanna since 2015, decided to share the moment he and Susanna met for the first time, which resulted in sending many of his fans into meltdown.

Taking to his Instagram page, the GMB host wrote to his one million followers: “The moment I met Susanna…

“When I appeared (ironically!) on BBC Breakfast to promote First News, the kids’ newspaper I helped launch in 2006.”

Soon after Piers reflected on the time he was interviewed by Susanna on the BBC Breakfast sofa, fans of the ITV duo said how “suspicious” Susanna looked in the snap.

One wrote to Piers: “@piersmorgan Naturally she looks very suspicious,” while another said: “And you’ve annoyed her ever since!”

One follower also picked up on the way Susanna looked “guarded” as they added: “Her body language is somewhat guarded…

“If only she’d known it would be last time on screen she’d get to finish a sentence with you!!”

Another fan mentioned how it looked like Susanna was “social distancing” back in the day, as they told the host: “Even then she was trying to do social distancing.”

The TV star continued to say: “They’ve both been through a lot – they’ve both had the virus, Boris nearly died and it must have been a very worrying few weeks at the late stage of pregnancy. So I wish them all the best.”

However, Piers soon disappointed many viewers after he added: “But you can’t get away from this jarring sense of every front page of a very happy Boris Johnson bounding up the steps inside Downing Street, released by Downing Street.

“And many newspapers have used that picture alongside very bad headlines of the death toll in this country now accelerating to the second worst in the world.”

Not long after Piers made his point loud and clear, viewers took to Twitter to express their disappointment with the show and stated how it has gone “downhill”.

One wrote online: “Criticising Boris for being happy at the birth of his child, this show has gone downhill! #GMB.”

Another commented: “Why is boycotting GMB only just bring brought up? Many of us have been doing this for ages.”

However, one of Piers’ loyal followers defended his thoughts on the matter as they wrote: “As much as I can’t stand Morgan he is telling the truth, which obviously hurts reading the comments here.”

A representative for the Prime Minister and his partner confirmed that both the mother and the baby are “doing very well”.
