Gemma Collins makes £100,000 in 24 hours through sales of sweatshirt after Jade Thirlwall wears one

Gemma Collins has raked in £100,000 in just one day through sales of her new sweatshirt after Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall is spotted wearing one.

The TOWIE star, 39, released the In The Style clothing line, which is based on her most iconic phrases, in an attempt to cheer fans up amid the coronavirus lockdown.

And sales went through the roof after Jade, 27, took to Instagram on Friday in an ‘I’m: Single, Taken, Claustrophobic Darren’ sweatshirt.

The endorsement, which came during a video interview for Capital FM radio, saw In The Style website traffic reach 20,000 in just 24 hours and resulted in sales of more than 6,000 units.

And with the sweatshirt priced at around £20 it meant more than £100,000 hitting the tills.

It is thought that this sudden surge has made Gemma’s collection the most successful celebrity collaboration for In The Style in relation to sales within one month of launching.

The slogan makes reference to Gemma’s 2016 stint on Celebrity Big Brother when the diva shouted at Darren Day when she panicked about being locked in the house.

The TV personality signed a six-figure deal with online clothing brand In The Style to design the collection, according to The Sun.

The sales come just days after Gemma revealed that her mum was been rushed to hospital with pneumonia.
