Belle (played by Eden-Taylor Draper) has been led to believe she and Jamie (Alexander Lincoln) will end up together after months of hiding their secret relationship from the rest of Emmerdale village, what with the lover promising to leave his wife, Andrea (Anna Nightingale). Unfortunately for the pair, it seems their chances of living happily ever after could be dashed as the vet’s other half caught the pair kissing in the woods earlier this week. Upcoming scenes on the ITV soap will see her with daggers at the ready as she plans to ruin her love rival. However, with all the drama set to come, it seems the forbidden lovers might just have a future together.

Back in January, on the night Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) was murdered, the too young vets sought comfort in one another and viewers discovered they’d slept together through flashback scenes.
It seemed this might have been a one-off whilst Jamie was contemplating whether to divorce his wife after finding out his daughter, Millie Tate (Willow Bell), could have been fathered by the deceased character.
In the weeks after their steamy rendezvous, it quickly became clear the pair had feelings for one another and stole the moments they had together to continue their affair.
After getting back with Andrea, the cheating husband tried to get rid of any temptation of straying away, even trying to get Belle fired from the surgery.
However, with the love rats unable to keep their hands off one another, it seems this storyline could be leading to them becoming official, once they’ve got his wife off their backs.

Next week will see Andrea set her plans in motion to get Jamie away from his mistress, whilst keeping him and Belle in the dark she knows about their affair.
This will include a five-star getaway for the couple, making the young Dingle woman incredibly jealous she won’t get to see her lover.
Noticing how uncomfortable the situation is making her, the cheating husband promises he will find a way out of going.
With it clear Kim Tate’s (Claire King) son is more in love with his fancy woman than his wife, soap star Alexander has offered his take on whether there will be a future for them.

Since the Kim was introduced to the village back in 1989, she has somehow always had a rivalry with the infamous Dingle clan.
Most recently, the families were at war when her step-grandson Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) tried to get revenge on Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) as he blamed her for the death of his father, Chris Tate (Peter Amory).
All was eventually resolved after Jamie’s mother was pushed off a balcony by Belle’s grandmother, Faith Dingle (Sally Dexter).
So, could the forbidden lovers tie-the-knot and finally bring everlasting peace between the two houses of Emmerdale?
This would ultimately mean Jamie would have to get a divorce from Andrea and given the last time they split almost ended up in a custody battle over Millie, it’s fair to say things wouldn’t be plain sailing.
However, it seems viewers are in full support of Belle getting her happily ever after, despite it coming from an affair.
One fan posted on Twitter: “I’m sad for Andrea and stuff but I can’t help shipping Belle and Jamie! #Emmerdale.”
With no official confirmation on whether the pair will end up together, viewers will have to stay tuned in to see how the affair unfolds.
