Stacey Dash is getting a divorce from her husband of two years, Jeffrey Marty, seven months after their ‘marital dispute’.

The Clueless actress, 53, said their split was a ‘life lesson’ as she announced the news on Instagram on Thursday.

She wrote: ‘Hello Everyone, My husband and I have made the hard decision of ending our marriage.

‘After much prayer, I feel this is the right path for both of us. I wish him nothing but the best.

‘Thank you everyone for your support and respecting our privacy during this difficult time.’

She included the hashtags ‘#Love #Faith #StaceyDash #Redeemed #Warrior #Grace #LifeLesson #Jesus.’

Stacey tied the knot with lawyer Jeffrey in a secret ceremony 10 days after they met in April 2018, Page Six reported at the time.

Her manager confirmed the news, explaining: ‘They wanted it on the D.L. [down low].’

Sources claimed she met him after withdrawing from her campaign for Congress in California.

In September last year, Stacey was arrested for domestic battery after a reported altercation with Jeffrey.

Video footage obtained by TMZ showed her being led away in handcuffs and asking police ‘What are you doing? Am I being arrested?’ outside her Pasco County home.

Jeffrey paid $500 to release the actress on bail, police records showed.

A month after the incident, Stacey tweeted: ‘Like normal married couples my husband and I had a marital dispute that escalated.

The actress – best known for playing Dionne in the 1994 movie Clueless – has a daughter Lola and a son Austin from previous relationships with her ex-husband Brian Lovell and former partner Christopher Williams respectively.

Jeffrey is a father to three children from a previous relationship.
