Eamonn Holmes: This Morning host addresses ‘tension’ with wife Ruth Langsford | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Eamonn Holmes, 60, and his wife Ruth Langsford, 60, have presented This Morning together since 2006. The TV veteran recently appeared on BBC Two show I’ll Get This where he addressed both he and his partner’s work personalities.

Eamonn was joined on the show with Stacey Solomon, Joe Sugg, Alice Levine and Phil Wang.

The programme has five celebrities meet at a restaurant where they play games between courses.

The loser of the game is then forced to pay for the entire meal.

As the group sat and chatted amongst each other, Alice turned to Eamonn and asked whether he deliberately attempts to throw Ruth “off-guard” during This Morning.

Elsewhere, the small-screen star questioned his wife on Instagram after she spotted an awkward encounter in the couple’s back garden.

In view of her 822,000 Instagram followers, Ruth shared a cheeky video of two woodpeckers, who appeared to be getting intimate in her family garden.

She wrote: “OMG…. didn’t know we had a PAIR of woodpeckers in the garden….and I’ve just caught them making a baby! Feel like David Attenborough!”(sic)

In the clip, the two birds could be seen pecking at each other while a loud noise could be heard in the background.

Eamonn took the opportunity to reply, as he quizzed: “What’s the racket in the background?”

The TV veteran later followed up, as he grilled Ruth further: “Are you vacuuming while filming?”

Fans flocked to comment, as one person quipped: “@eamonnholmes it’s the washing machine I think.”

Another social media user commented: “Oh Lordy. My eyes feel violated.”

This Morning airs weekdays on ITV at 10am and I’ll Get There airs on Tuesdays on BBC Two at 10pm.
