Sad: In scenes to be aired on Sunday’s second episode of Diva On Lockdown, Gemma Collins revealed her emotional side as she broke down in tears as she lamented missing her mum

The heart-wrenching moment in the show came  as Gemma relaxed on the sofa to enjoy a phone call with her mum, who is self-isolating at her own home.

In scenes filmed weeks previously, the pair discussed the current coronavirus lockdown and social distancing guidelines, with Gemma remarking the restrictions will cause ‘a lot of mental health’.

The star then told her mum how when lockdown is over, she’ll take her to the garden centre for a treat.

However, as she hung up the phone, Gemma became emotional as she said: ‘Oh, I miss my mum!

‘What is she doing? I won’t see her over Easter. I know that she’s missing us and it’s the same for a lot of people…’

Tears then began pouring down her face and her voice cracked as continued: ‘It’s just so weird with everything that’s going on. A another further 831 people have died, too early to lift the COVID lockdown and I just hope that people this weekend…’

The reality show favourite then broke down as she added: ‘It’s just upset me seeing my mum, because I know she’s in the garden and she could have been with us out there.’

But despite her sadness, Gemma insisted that she was one of the ‘fortunate’ ones as she reflected on the thousands of people who have lost loved ones and who were in a less-fortunate position than herself.
