DAREDEVIL actor Charlie Cox would love Netflix to commission a fourth series, but the star is highly doubtful it’s going to happen.
The show, based on the character of the same name, was one of five Marvel associated series to be scrapped by the streaming platform, including The Punisher, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage.

News of the scrapping was a shock to fans as it came just weeks after Netflix premiered a batch of episodes which were loved by fans and critics alike.
Charlie, 37, has played the titular role of the blind vigilante superhero since it began in 2015, winning the prestigious Helen Keller Achievement Award by the American Foundation for the Blind.
Asked recently by Comicbook if he could see a fourth season happening, he said: “I don’t feel that way, no. And, I don’t know why I don’t feel that way.
“But, I haven’t been given any reason to believe that. And, from a cynical point of view, it just feels like maybe I’m trying to protect myself, ’cause I’d love nothing more than to do it again.”

One of the reasons Charlie thinks a reunion would be unlikely is because many of the cast members have already moved onto other projects, which could make the logistics of a fourth season tricky.
“When you make a television show, it’s so complicated, and people’s schedules are so difficult, and contracts are so difficult,” he added.
“So that’s why when, as an actor, when you sign onto a TV show, you sign six years of your life away. Because, if you don’t do that, it becomes too complicated to try and get all these moving pieces.”
The first season of Daredevil is currently available to stream on Netflix.
