Gigi Hadid has confirmed expecting her first child, with boyfriend Zayn Malik.
After intense speculation, the 25-year-old revealed her pregnancy news during an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
The host shared his congratulations to the mum-to-be, who giggled as she replied: ‘Thank you so much!
‘Obviously we wish we could have announced it on our own terms but we’re very excited and happy, and grateful for everyone’s well-wishes and support.
‘It definitely wasn’t bad news and we’re happy now to be excited about it.’
When host Jimmy urged her not to overdo anything, and ‘be present’ for every part of her pregnancy, she insisted that she is ‘trying’.
‘I’m trying. Especially during this time, it’s a nice silver lining to be able to be home and together and really experience it, day by day,’ she continued.
Lifting the lid on her birthday celebrations, the supermodel admitted that she had been craving bagels – which she indulged in on her big day.
In the morning my family brought out an everything bagel cake, that already blew my mind, because my craving has been bagels…,’ Gigi said.
‘I eat an Everything bagel a day.
‘So I was already so excited that my birthday cake was an everything bagel, but then I found out that Buddy the Cake Boss made my cake.
‘It was marble cake with chocolate buttercream inside, it was my favourite… I’m his biggest fan, I love him and I don’t know if it was my hormones right now or just quarantine mess but I cried every five minutes.
Every time I thought about Buddy making my cake, I was just so happy.’
To be fair, we cry over cake even when we’re not in lockdown.
