Fans notice an embarrassing detail in the background of Michael Clarke’s Instagram photo – and he’s forced to admit his trolls have a point

Michael Clarke just can’t seem to catch a break.

After spending weeks dodging the paparazzi during his rumoured on-again-off-again relationship with Pip Edwards and making headlines for his ‘midlife crisis’, the retired Australian cricket captain is now being trolled for the sorry state of his swimming pool.

After sharing a photo to Instagram on Thursday that showed his pool in the background, Michael’s followers told him to give it ‘good scoop’ because it was filled with leaves.

Michael’s post was an advertisement for Chemist Warehouse and showed him arranging his four-year-old daughter Kelsey Lee’s ‘weekly vitamins’ on a coffee table.

But many fans were distracted by the dirty backyard pool behind him, which was visible through the glass sliding doors.

‘When you’re done, the pool needs a good scoop,’ one follower wrote. Another added: ‘Got a few leaves in that pool there, Pup! Get the net out, dude.’

The father-of-one is believed to have dated Bondi-based fashion designer Pip Edwards for several months after breaking up with Kyly, although neither of them ever publicly acknowledged the relationship.

But things ended swiftly in early April when Michael decided he couldn’t handle the publicity that came with being linked to the glamorous P.E Nation founder.

Despite ending their fling, they reunited for Pip’s 40th birthday on Monday – but Michael fled on his motorcycle after realising they were being photographed.
