Jenny Ryan: The Chase star tells ITV viewer to ‘grow up’ after slamming ‘gross’ complaint | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Jenny Ryan appeared in the third instalment of Beat The Chasers last night. Following the ITV show, The Chase favourite slammed one fan’s suggestion and told them to “grow up”.

The 38-year-old was having none of it when one Twitter user claimed the adverts being shown were “gross”.

The Vixen star made her feeling very clear over their suggestions about the female-related ads.

Jenny had initially urged fans to “let bosses knwon” if they’d like to Beat The Chasers, which launched on Monday, return.

She posted to her 71,000 followers: “If you are enjoying #BeatTheChasers and would like to see another series, let the bosses at @itv know!”

One person queried: “Did I just hear a dodgy correct answer during the last cash builder? How many cities with Chester in the name? 1, 2, or 3? I can think of four – all of them cathedral cities.

After being told to “go on” by an intrigued Jenny, the said: “Winchester, Chichester, Manchester, Rochester.”

However they were soon told: “Rochester isn’t a city, I’m afraid.”

When they pointed out it had a catherdral, she said: “It was a city until 1998, when it became part of the Medway unitary authority.

“It has the cathedral, but is no longer recognised as a city.”

The fan added: “Ah, I see. Thanks for clarifying. Great to chat, and I love the shows. In the words of Brucie – you’re my favourite! Xx.”

Jenny appears on a team with Mark Labbett, Anne Hegerty, Paul Sinha and Shaun Wallace for the first time on Beat The Chasers.

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm, while Beat The Chasers continues tonight at 9pm – both on ITV.
