The Greatest Dancer will not be coming back for a third series after the BBC dropped Simon Cowell’s first reality show with the channel. Here’s everything you need to know about the reasons behind this cancellation.

Why has The Greatest Dancer been cancelled?

BBC reality series The Greatest Dancer invited dancers all around the country to audition for the chance of winning £50,000 and a chance to perform on Strictly Come Dancing.

Already running for two series on the BBC, the show featured star judges like Oti Mabuse and Cheryl choosing the acts.

However, the show has now been cancelled by the channel ahead of returning for a third outing.

A representative for the BBC told The Sun: “Whilst there are no plans for a further series, we are proud of the show and would like to thank everyone involved.”
