Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik have been through some major highs and lows in their relationship but are finally celebrating happy news, with reports they’re expecting their first child.
The Victoria’s Secret model is said to be five months pregnant with Zayn’s baby just a few months after reconciling with the former One Direction singer.
With her height and his handsome looks, it’s sure to be one very beautiful baby.
It’s been a rollercoaster for Gigi, 25, and Zayn, 27, who started dating way back in 2015 shortly after his split from Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards.
How did Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik meet?
The couple met at a Victoria’s Secret fashion show party and went on their first date in New York City shortly after.
Recalling his first thoughts of the fashion muse, Zayn previously told Evening Standard: ‘She’s a very intelligent woman. She knows how to carry herself.
‘She’s quite classy and that. She’s not, like, arrogant in any way, she’s confident. She carries it well. She’s cool.’
Zayn made it Instagram official in December 2015 with a black and white photo of Gigi cuddling his face.

Their sizzling romance played out in the music video for Zayn’s debut solo single Pillowtalk in January 2016.
Those passionate kisses pretty much told us all we needed to know about their love for each other.
A few months later the ridiculously good looking couple took part in their first photoshoot for Vogue magazine before making their red carpet debut at the Met Gala in May.
How can we forget those iconic looks with Zayn, clad in Versace, and Gigi, wearing Tommy Hilfiger, matching their robotic looks for the Fashion in an Age of Technology theme.
First break-up rumours
In June 2016, rumours began to swirl that Gigi and Zayn had split with a source telling E! News: ‘Zayn and Gigi did break up, but they can likely get back together tomorrow.
‘It’s all very unclear what’s going on between them now. They have been having some issues lately that involved communication and getting along.’
But Gigi soon confirmed they were still together in an interview with Elle when she discussed hanging out with her ‘boyfriend’.
Later speaking to British Vogue, Gigi shed light on their relationship and said: ‘When I’m in LA I mostly stay in because it’s my time off and I like being with my boyfriend and doing art and cooking.
‘We like late-night movies and we order from this amazing place that does lattes and gingerbread cookies. I need coffee to stay up. I’m always like, “Babe, let’s go to a movie”. Then I fall asleep halfway through and he’s like, “You’ve seen the first half of every movie out there and you have no idea how any of them end”.’
The relationship continued going strong and in August 2017, they celebrated Eid-Mubarak together with both their mothers.
Official break-up
Sadly by March 2018, it was all over with both confirming they had split.
Announcing the news, Zayn wrote in a Twitter message: ‘Gigi and I had an incredibly meaningful, loving and fun relationship and I have a huge amount of respect and adoration for Gigi as a woman and a friend.
‘She has such an incredible soul. I’m grateful to all of our fans for respecting this difficult decision and our privacy at this time, we wish this news could have come from us first. We love you all.’
Gigi added in her own message: ‘Breakup statements often seem impersonal because there is really no way to put into words what two people experience together over a few years .. not only in the relationship, but in life in general. I’m forever grateful for the love, time, and life lessons that Z and I shared.
‘I want nothing but the best for him and will continue to support him as a friend that I have immense respect and love for. As for the future, whatever’s meant to be will always be.’
Back together
Over the next few months, Zayn and Gigi were spotted spending time together and kissing sparking reconciliation rumours.
But they seemed reluctant to make things official as Zayn told GQ: ‘We’re adults. We don’t need to put a label on it, make it something for people’s expectations.’
They were officially back together by October 2018 but had split again the following January with an insider telling ET at the time: ‘Gigi and Zayn have broken up, but not because they don’t love one another.
‘After trying for a long time, the couple just couldn’t make it work. Zayn has been dealing with personal things for a while and Gigi has become a comfort blanket for him.’
Gigi then had a brief romance with Bachelorette star Tyler Cameron but she found her way back to Zayn again by November 2019 when they reconnected with each other again.
In January 2020, they were pictured walking arm-in-arm during a night out with Dua Lipa to celebrate Zayn’s birthday.
Just a few weeks later, Gigi went to war for her man when YouTuber Jake Paul accused Zayn of being rude.
The model clapped back on Twitter: ‘Lol cause he doesn’t care to hang w you and your embarrassing crew of YouTube groupies ..?
‘Home alone with his best friends like a respectful king cause he has me, sweetie. Unbothered by your irrelevant ugly ass. Go to bed [sic].’
Gigi’s birthday and baby news
This month, Gigi and Zayn have been spending the lockdown with her family at their farm in Pennsylvania where a birthday party was thrown to celebrate the model’s 25th.
