Stacey Solomon: Joe Swash opens up about coping under ‘high pressures’ with girlfriend | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Stacey Solomon, 30, and Joe Swash, 38, began to realise their feelings for one another when they hosted I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’s spin-off show Extra Camp together in 2016. Joe has recently reflected on how the “crazy hours” he spent working with his other half on the ITV2 show has prepared them to embark on more television projects as a couple.

In an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk, The Dancing on Ice winner divulged: “We worked together under real high pressures when we did the extra show on I’m A Celebrity.

“We did a year of that together, so that’s really crazy hours every day, live telly.

“So we got through that together and it wasn’t hard at all.”

Joe went on to gush about his “lovely relationship” with the mum-of-three and how they are looking forward to joining forces again in an upcoming TV project.

He continued: “We’ve got such a lovely relationship that I think we just complement each other sometimes.

“We like to have a laugh and we don’t like to take things too seriously so we’re looking forward to it, it should be fun.”

Sharing further details about their new show, Joe added: “I think we’ve got one in the pipeline at the moment that’s just been commissioned so we’re going to be working together.”

He then revealed: “It’s exciting, we’ve held off, we’ve been offered so many things to work together but we sort of want to make sure it’s the right thing and not jump into something because it’s just work.

Joe then chimed: “I was openly flirting with her, but she kept shooting me down, telling me there’s no point!”

“I didn’t want to be too available, you know what it’s like,” Stacey explained.

Joe and Stacey welcomed their baby son, Rex, into the world last year.

The couple are currently self-isolating at home with their 11-month-old little one and Stacey’s two sons Zachary, 12, and Leighton, seven, from previous relationships.

Stacey recently hinted to fans that her beau was “trying to get her pregnant” again during the coronavirus lockdown.

The star shared the revelation as she filmed Joe, who was hard at work hoovering their artificial lawn.

Appreciating his efforts, Stacey wrote on her Instagram stories: “He’s trying to get me pregnant again,” while playing I Just Want To Make Love To You.

Earlier this month, Stacey wrote to her 3.2 million followers while watching her boyfriend cleaning their windows: “Maybe it’s the lockdown but I’m pretty sure he’s never looked sexier.”
