Lucifer season 5 theories: Key scene foreshadows Deckerstar baby | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Fans last left the series stunned by the latest season finale, as Lucifer (played by Tom Ellis) returned to his throne in hell. Originally on Fox, new episodes are set to air on Netflix once production restrictions have been lifted.

The history of Lucifer is paved with both tragedy and celebration, and fans have been following the latest news on the edge of their seat.

Previously cancelled by Fox, the fantasy procedural has since found a new home on international streaming service, Netflix.

Despite this, future seasons of the show have once again been put in jeopardy thanks to ongoing contract negotiations as well as the coronavirus pandemic.

With season four’s epic season finale finally working its way to Lucifer and Chloe’s (Lauren German) highly anticipated romance, fans have been speculating how the series will eventually come to an end.

Season five was previously assumed to be the last, but ‘Deckerstar’ fans could eventually see their blossoming relationship continue well into the future if a new contract is worked out between Warner Bros. Television and star Tom Ellis.

Until then, filming of season five’s thrilling last episode is currently on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and fans have been hunting for clues to how the series will pan out.

Many viewers are desperate for Lucifer and Chloe to put aside their differences and embark on a romance for the ages, with some convinced a wedding and even the patter of tiny feet are on the way.

Some ‘Lucifans’ took to Reddit to discuss the next season, with some proposing a major twist may have already been sealed in a key scene of foreshadowing.

24 star Dennis Haysbert has been confirmed to play the real version of his absent father for season five.

Lucifer’s own Daddy issues have long prevented him from starting his own family, but a fatherly reunion could be the motivation he needs to finally settle down with Chloe amongst the humans.

Finally, the fan added: “I can see IF a Deckerstar baby happened, it would be his chance to be the father he never had, OR move forward in being with her in Heaven because all of his human friends (who are practically his family) would end up there too.”

The offspring of Lucifer, formerly one of Heaven’s most powerful angels, and a human being born could have catastrophic consequences for their life on Earth.

Thankfully, as the devilish nightclub owner and LAPD consultant has spent more time on Earth, he has since proven himself to be a capable family man, hopeless romantic, and even a massive softie at times.

Becoming a husband and parent could be Lucifer’s final test for being welcomed back to Heaven with open arms by his father and older brother, Amenadiel (D. B. Woodside).

Unfortunately, ‘Lucifans’ will need to wait a little longer for production on season five to return to its regular schedule.

Lucifer season five will be released on Netflix soon.
