KRISTIN Cavallari only announced her divorce from husband Jay Cutler on Sunday and it’s already getting messy.
The couple would often accuse each other of cheating throughout their marriage, before calling it quits, reports Us Weekly on Monday.
“The word around Nashville is they really just don’t like each other anymore,” their source explained. “They would accuse each other of cheating, but nothing really solid,” they said.
They added: “They are both very stubborn and bump heads a lot and neither backs down.”
Cavallari, 33, and Cutler, 36, tied the knot in June 2013 after three years of dating.
They confirmed their plans to divorce on Sunday, two days after filing the paperwork.
She posted a photo of the duo walking away from the camera with their arms around each other.
“With great sadness, after 10 years together we have come to a loving conclusion to get a divorce,” the Very Cavallari star wrote via Instagram.
“We have nothing but love and respect for one another and are deeply grateful for the years shared, memories made, and the children we are so proud of. This is just the situation of two people growing apart. We ask everyone to respect our privacy as we navigate this difficult time within our family.”
Jay, 36, posted the same statement on his Instagram with a black-and-white photo of the couple during happier times.
The couple married in 2013 and share children Camden, 7, Jaxon, 5, and daughter Saylor, 4, together.
The split is sudden, as their last photo together was from March.
The Hills alum and the football star also recently returned from the Bahamas earlier this month after a three-week quarantine.
Jay was involved in a cheating scandal with Kristin’s best friend Kelly Henderson last year.
On her reality show Very Cavallari, she revealed she hadn’t spoken to her friend all summer after rumors of their affair surfaced.
While Kristin insisted the rumor wasn’t true, she accused her friend of “fueling the fire” by continuing to mention Jay on social media.
On a recent episode, Kristin praised her husband after having a “rocky year.”
“I feel like the older you get, the more you realize who is supposed to be in your life. You figure out who your real friends are — friends come and go. It’s nice that I have you as my constant. You’re my common denominator.”
She added: “Every marriage has their ups and downs, but what I’ve realized this past year is that I’ve really leaned on Jay more than I ever have. Especially after everything I’ve been going through — he’s really been there for me.”
