DR Alex has revealed he was forced to break isolation rules to allow homeless friends to stay with him during lockdown.
The hero medic is working in A&E treating coronavirus patients, and he’s offered up his spare rooms to two pals who needed to move “urgently.”
Alex, 30, explained to followers that his new guests will have their own bathrooms and they’ll be talking “all precautions” to ensure there is no spread of COVID-19.
The loyal friend added: “We had to make a decision, but I would never leave them with nowhere to stay.”
Alex recently moved into the house after undergoing renovations on his old flat in Clapham.
The reality star went on to reveal he had found the pad with the help of his followers and couldn’t be happier.
The A&E doctor – who is currently working at University Hospital, Lewisham during the coronavirus pandemic – proudly showed off the pad on YouTube in a tour for fans.
He said: “Having to move house in lockdown due to the tenancy ending on my previous place was hugely stressful.”
Alex added: “I am so grateful to all of those people who reached out and offered to help me find a new place, with most estate agents being closed.
“I am so grateful to have found my new home and can’t believe how incredible it is.”
Starting off the tour in the dining room, Alex showed off a huge wooden table and a plush beige sofa.
The comfortable couch, which is adorned with colourful pillows, is perched next to five stylish dining room chairs.
Other touches include a scenic photograph of a beach and a turquoise bike.
The contemporary open plan kitchen is directly opposite to the dining room.
It boasts sturdy fittings throughout with glossy kitchen units, white marble worktops and a useful hot water tap.
Alex raved: “One thing I didn’t have in my flat and love about this is the hot tap.
“I really think they’re amazing. I drink a lot of tea myself and you can drink that instantly.”
Meanwhile, the living room is furnished with chic fittings and soft furnishings.
There’s also a huge television, a modern white shelving unit with ornaments and a grand fireplace – making it the perfect spot for Alex to unwind after a busy day.
Other rooms include two huge bedrooms and bathrooms.
Alex concluded the video with a tour of the incredible roof terrace, which is complete with astroturf grass and amazing views of the city.
He said: “You can imagine doing your Joe Wicks exercises out here in the morning and in the evening chilling and relaxing with your mates.”
Alex, who is originally from Carmarthen, Wales, studied medicine at Exeter University and is currently working in South East London.
The former Love Island contestant returned to his day job after appearing on the series in 2018.
He is currently living separately from his girlfriend Amelia Bath while working on the NHS frontline.
