CHANTELLE Atkins begins to tell Kheerat Panesar about Gray’s abusive behaviour next week in EastEnders.

Fans have been predicting an affair between Chantelle and Kheerat for months on the BBC One soap – and hoping that it’ll spur her on to leave her abusive husband.

EastEnders fans will remember that when the Panesar clan first arrived in Walford several months ago, it became clear that Jags and Chantelle recognised each other.

The pair obviously had history as they got chatting, with Chantelle telling him he looked “amazing”.

Jags then revealed to his brothers that he’d known Chantelle from school and that they had even dated. 

Viewers were initially desperate for Chantelle and Jags to get it on, but have since noticed chemistry between the former hairdresser and Jag’s younger brother Kheerat. 

Episodes of EastEnders set to air this week will see Chantelle panic when she’s trapped alone with Kheerat during a power cut at the Panesars’ call centre.

Gray – who’s already at breaking point as he struggles with the pressures of Whitney’s looming murder trial – frantically searches for her when their phone call is severed and assumes the worst.

Next week’s episodes of EastEnders will see Chantelle grow anxious at the call centre knowing that Gray needs her help.

But Kheerat notices how distraught she is and manages to get her to start opening up about her feelings and about Gray.

Will she tell him about Gray’s abuse?

Fans are convinced that Gray and Whitney are going to embark upon an affair after growing closer over the past few months, and that she’ll defend Gray if Chantelle speaks out about his abuse.

But the suave character is hiding the dark secret that he regularly abuses his wife Chantelle behind closed doors – and has even broken her arm – and fans aren’t keen on the prospect of him further ruining another woman’s life.
