AFTER its first season received acclaim from critics and viewers, Irish drama Blood returns for a second series tonight (Monday, April 27).
Adrian Dunbar leads the cast of talented actors who are set to keep viewers at the edge of their seat with twists and turns.

Adrian Dunbar as Jim Hogan
Adrian, 61, is a theatre and television actor who has been in the industry since 1984.
A graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, he has had a wide range of prominent role on the small screen.
He starred in The Jump, Ashes to Ashes, The Hollow Crown and as Ted Hastings in BBC One drama Line of Duty.
In Blood, he heads up the cast, playing the role of Jim Hogan.
Grainne Keenan as Fiona Hogan
Grainne has had starring roles in films such as 2017’s The Foreigner.
She has also appeared in The Wife and before that in 2012 movie Titanic.
Her portrayal of Fiona Hogan in Blood has won her praise from fans.
She has promised the new season of Blood will begin with a dramatic moment.
Denis Conway as Tom Mooney
In 2004, Denis starred as Nearchus in Alexander, propelling him to mainstream recognition.
He has gone on to star in several other film and television productions.
In 2008, he was nominated for an Ireland film and TV award in the best actor category for The Running Mate.
Sean Duggan as Dez Breen
Some of Sean’s best known roles are in films such as The Lobster and The Professor and 2019’s The Professor And The Madman.
He also had a role in well received film, The Sisters Brothers.
Diarmuid Noyes as Michael Hogan
The 32-year-old has been an actor in film, theatre, TV and commercials since 2002.
One of his early roles saw him cast in the award winning short film, Broken Things.
Since then, he has gone on to star in films such as Five Minutes Of Heaven and Roadkill.
He has also played Alessandro Farnesse in Borgia.
Caroline Main as Cat Hogan
Her impressive list of acting credits includes as DC Fran Lingley in Unforgotten and Celine in Temple.
Before then, she had made guest appearances in TV series such as Doctors and Borgia.
Her character, Cat Hogan suspects her father of murdering his wife and her mother.

Blood’s second season will premiere on April 27 on Channel 5 at 9pm.
