She failed to impress viewers with her take on the classic vanilla slice on MasterChef on Sunday night.

But over the weekend, Poh Ling Yeow, 47, sent fans into a frenzy when she revealed how she makes her simple four-ingredient caramelised pastry for the recipe on Instagram.

‘Gets me every time -that with just butter, flour, salt and water, you really can conjure magic. And the fragrance of properly caramelised pastry, surely one of the dreamiest things on the planet,’ she wrote.

Fans immediately started commenting on her post, saying the pastry was ‘baked to perfection’ and asking her to share the recipe.

‘Wow, now that is beautifully baked,’ one person commented. ‘Wow yum and there’s no sugar in this pastry either? It is perfect,’ another agreed.
