Ben continued: ‘He will know going forward now that if he is going to make any flatbreads or tortillas, you have to make them from scratch.’

Sunday night’s episode saw Hayden match his Chilaquiles Verdes with already made Tortilla chips, which he found in the pantry, instead of making them from scratch.

During the results, the judges remarked that homemade over packet chips would have been better.

However, viewers at home were left baffled why they were in the pantry in the first place.

One user said: ‘The judges looking down their nose at Hayden for using packet corn chips that they themselves put in the pantry, is some red hot b*****t, I tell you what.’

Another suggested that making fresh tortilla chips in such a short time frame is near-impossible, while another claimed the chips were a ‘trap’.

‘The corn chips in the pantry were a trap. Hayden should have known that by now,’ they wrote.

Time will tell! 'He will know going forward now that if he is going to make any flatbreads or tortillas, you have to make them from scratch,' said Ben

Ben was sent packing on Sunday night’s episode.

His salmon dish failed to impress the judges who found it so acidic, it was deemed inedible.
