The Chase host Bradley Walsh reveals ‘future’ of show | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

About a month ago, BBC and ITV bosses announced that a number of shows would halt production in a bid to keep their cast and crew safe.

Fans of The Chase are lucky though, as just before the lockdown was announced, the team was able to film the special series Beat The Chasers, which will air this week.

Bradley Walsh has now opened up about the whole ordeal and when he thinks The Chase will be able to continue.

Bradley told TV Mag: “We were so lucky because we filmed it back in January.

Beat The Chaser begins on Monday and will be shown over five consecutive nights, which is perfect under these current conditions.

The Chase spin-off is slightly different to the normal show, and all five chasers will take on a member of the public.

That means, one contestant will have to take on Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett, Jenny ‘The Vixen’ Ryan, Paul ‘The Sinnerman’ Sinha, Shaun ‘The Dark Destroyer’ Wallace and Anne ‘The Governess’ Hegerty, in the hopes of beating them all off and winning the final jackpot.

Not only this, the contestant will get to choose how many of the chasers they go up against, but the more Chasers, the more money they could win.
