Strictly Come Dancing 2020 could be postponed until next year in huge BBC shake-up | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

It was reported by The Sun the show is willing to pay big money to get their most-wanted stars to sign-up this year.

Earlier this month, a source told the publication: “Coronavirus has made planning a TV show difficult but producers are keen for Strictly to remain the jewel in the BBC’s crown.

“Bookers have been told they can pay as much as double what they’ve paid for stars in the past.”

Names such as Maya Jama, Alan Carr and Lorraine Kelly have all been flying around but it’s unknown whether the BBC have snapped-up any stars so far.

Will the show be able to go ahead this year as scheduled or will fans have to wait even longer for their Strictly fix?

Strictly Come Dancing returns later this year on BBC One.
