Saturday Night Live departed from its regular format again this week, by dispensing with a host in light of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
However one of the highlights stood in line with the show’s longstanding traditions: musical guest – this week being Miley Cyrus.
The Wrecking Ball hitmaker was accompanied by Andrew Watt on guitar for her impressive rendition of Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd.

Another episode highlight was another Pete Davidson song, this one titled Stuck in the House, with a camerawork assist by Pete’s mom Amy.
The song’s lyrics focused on Pete’s boredom at home, as he sang, ‘Stuck with my fam I can’t get out, it’s quarantine in my house’.
This video even featured a cameo by Amy, who sat next to an awkward Pete on the couch.

Another high profile appearance of Saturday night’s episode was Ant-Man and The Avengers: Endgame star Paul Rudd, who talked to his “Cousin Mandy” via a video call during the pandemic.
His clearly jealous relative teased Paul for failing to appear in Gal Gadot’s now infamous Imagine viral video – because he is ‘not famous enough’.
However even that slight wasn’t enough to deter Paul from the call – until Mandy reminded him, ‘Remember when we kissed?’
Rudd immediately cut the call short.

Another highlight was a TV crime show parody called Law & Order: The Reveal, which centered around a murder investigation conducted over Zoom.
While three suspects in the slaying of a person strangled at a pool party with their bikini bottoms wait on a Zoom call for Debbie, the detective holding the online interview takes an interest in a song one of the suspects is humming.
But when Willa’s original song is praised, Detective Simms (Beck Bennett) insists on singing his own composition: the cringe-worthy Rare Steak.
After quickly resolving the murder, all the suspects promptly log off the call, upsetting Simms.
