MasterChef’s Ben Ungermann presents phallic-shaped dish

‘Is that why you’re called Big Ben?’ The MasterChef judges leave contestants in stitches as Ben Ungermann presents his ‘stiff’ phallic-shaped dish

Ben Ungermann presented ‘ice cream for breakfast’ on Sunday’s episode of MasterChef: Back To Win.

And the judges left the 34-year-old and his peers in stitches, when they picked up on the phallic-shaped nature of the dish.

‘Is that why you’re called Big Ben?’ Jock Zonfrillo cheekily asked, when looking at two perfect scoops of ice cream with a caramelised wafer in the centre.

When asked the name of his dish, Ben responded: ‘So this is ice cream for breakfast.’

‘It does look like something that you would have in the morning,’ Jock said, causing the contestants to erupt in laughter.

Fellow judge Melissa Leong added: ‘Oh, I’m glad I wasn’t the only one that saw that. Did he do that on purpose?’

Enjoying having a laugh, Jock continued: ‘Is that why you’re called Big Ben?’

He then went on to praise the dish with its ‘delicious’ caramel, before joking that it was still a ‘little bit stiff’.

Meanwhile, Ben has been making headlines for another reason, outside of filming.

Ben left the show halfway through production after he was arrested over a personal matter.

News of Ben’s arrest surfaced last month, prompting a spokesperson for Endemol Shine to issue a brief statement to the media.

‘We can confirm Ben Ungermann has left the MasterChef Australia competition. As this is a police matter, we will not be making further comment,’ they said.
