KRISTIN Cavallari reportedly filed for divorce from Jay Cutler on Friday – ending their seven-year marriage.
The Hills alum, 33, announced her shocking split from the NFL star, 36, on Sunday after the pair were said to have fallen “out of love” with each other.
Two days before they made news of their separation public, Kristin filed the court papers, Us Weekly first reported.
An insider told the outlet: “There’s nothing scandalous or suspect about their split.
“Honestly, they just fell out of love and grew apart. It wasn’t officially over until this week,” the source said of the sudden timing.
The California native will remain in Tennessee to keep their family-of-five close together.
“She’s planning to stay in Nashville so they can co-parent,” the insider revealed.
The reality star and football quarterback share sons Camden, 7, Jaxon, 5, and four-year-old daughter Saylor.
The Very Cavallari star made the surprise announcement on Sunday afternoon on Instagram.
She posted a photo of the duo arm-in-arm as they walked away from the camera.
Kristin wrote alongside the shot: “With great sadness, after 10 years together we have come to a loving conclusion to get a divorce.
“We have nothing but love and respect for one another and are deeply grateful for the years shared, memories made, and the children we are so proud of.
“This is just the situation of two people growing apart. We ask everyone to respect our privacy as we navigate this difficult time within our family.”
Jay posted the same statement on his Instagram with a black-and-white photo of the couple during happier times.
Kristin and the professional athlete recently returned from the Bahamas earlier this month after a three-week quarantine together.
They last posted a photo together in March – just a few weeks ago.
The couple married in a Nashville ceremony on June 8, 2013.
They kept fans in the loop on their marriage by regularly posting on social media and showing an intimate look at their lives on her reality show Very Cavallari.
Jay was involved in a cheating scandal with Kristin’s best friend Kelly Henderson last year.
While Kristin insisted the rumor wasn’t true, she accused her friend of “fueling the fire” by continuing to mention Jay on social media.
On her reality show, she revealed she hadn’t spoken to her friend all Summer after rumors of their affair surfaced.
On a recent episode, Kristin praised her husband after having a “rocky year.”
“I feel like the older you get, the more you realize who is supposed to be in your life.
“You figure out who your real friends are — friends come and go. It’s nice that I have you as my constant. You’re my common denominator.”
She added: “Every marriage has their ups and downs, but what I’ve realized this past year is that I’ve really leaned on Jay more than I ever have.
“Especially after everything I’ve been going through — he’s really been there for me,” she said just months before their divorce.
