EastEnders star Jessie Wallace works up a sweat on a jog

EastEnders star Jessie Wallace works up a sweat on a jog as she gets in her daily exercise amid coronavirus lockdown

She was reportedly suspended from BBC soap EastEnders earlier this year.

Yet Jessie Wallace looked in good spirits on Sunday as she headed out in London on a jog during coronavirus lockdown.

The soap star, 48, looked like she may have caught the sun as she ran through the streets of London for her daily exercise.

Jessie donned a practical outfit of black leggings and a dark grey sports vest that she teamed with black running trainers.

To protect her eyes and add some colour to her ensemble, the actress donned bright blue sunglasses.

The actress also flashed a glimpse of her new Elvis tattoo.

Fans of the soap star would be forgiven for thinking the inking was actually a tribute to her on-screen husband Shane Richie since it bore an uncanny resemblance to the Alfie Moon actor.

Jessie’s final scene was aired on EastEnders last month after she was reportedly suspended from the BBC soap earlier this year.

The actress’ character Kat Slater made a swift exit on the episode after she abruptly left the Queen Vic pub following a cryptic phone call.

In the scenes, a flustered Kat received a phone call from a mystery person as she told them to: ‘Calm down, breathe, slowly because you’re panicking me and all.’

The Walford legend then quickly told her boyfriend Kush Kazemi that she had to leave their pub visit.

She said: ‘I wouldn’t do this if it wasn’t urgent, right. I’ll call you. I’ll text, just when everything’s chilled. Trust me, can you?’

Kat added: ‘Look I’m sorry, I don’t deserve you,’ to which an annoyed Kush replied: ‘No, you don’t.’

The two characters then kissed goodbye as the feisty character fled the Queen Vic pub to meet her mystery phone caller.

It comes after it was claimed earlier this year that she left crew members shocked with a saucy outburst before being suspended from the soap, according to media reports.

A source claimed that the soap star was ‘giggly and playful’ and told one crew member: ‘I know you want some of me,’ in a break from filming for the 35th Anniversary special.

It was also claimed that Jessie’s future on EastEnders remains in doubt after she was reportedly suspended for ‘drinking on set’.

BBC declined to comment when approached by MailOnline at the time.
