Countryfile: Matt Baker wows BBC viewers with secret talent ‘Who knew?’ | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Later on, Matt transported those watching back to a segment produced in 2018, where he met with Syrian refugee – Dr Ryad Alsous.

He explained how he had “left a big impression” before going into detail about the story behind their meeting.

Matt said: “Dr Ryad Alsous was a professor of food technology and an expert beekeeper back in his home country of Syria.

“In 2013, he, his wife and his children fled from the war there. It meant leaving his 500 beehives behind. Now, he’s starting again in Huddersfield,” he revealed.
