Reese Witherspoon takes a break from isolation for a Malibu bike ride with youngest son Tennessee

Reese Witherspoon heralded the end of another work week in isolation with a sunny bike ride near the ocean in Malibu, California on Friday.

Although the beaches themselves are closed for sunbathers and swimming, the bike bath that runs along much of the coast in and near Los Angeles is still accessible.

And Reese, 44, was not alone for her athletic outing –– the Oscar winner’s younger son Tennessee James Toth, seven, joined her on his scooter. 

The Election star appeared in high spirits as she cruised along on her sea foam green bike, dressed in a black tank top and matching leggings.

Witherspoon also donned a black baseball cap and reflective shades as protection from the sun, and she carried a bum bag around her waist.   

The actress, whose Hulu series Little Fires Everywhere reached its dramatic conclusion on Wednesday, sported a green bandanna in a similar shade to that of her bike, to protect from any potential exposure to the novel coronavirus. 

Witherspoon, a mother of three, kept close watch on little Tennessee, who she shares with her second husband Jim Toth, a Los Angeles talent agent.

The boy wore a helmet, red t-shirt and black shorts, and he rode along on a scooter with neon green wheels.

Reese is also mom to daughter Ava, 20, and son Deacon, 16, whose dad is her Cruel Intentions costar Ryan Phillipe. 

Reese and Ryan were married from 1999 until 2008, and she wed current husband Jim in 2011.

On Wednesday, the Walk The Line star posted a plethora of images in honor of Earth Day, which included breathtaking shots from the actress’s trip to New Zealand.

‘Happy Earth Day! One of the most beautiful places I have ever been was #NewZealand,’ Witherspoon captioned the gallery. 

‘The mountains, the bright blue lakes, the endless skies. There was so much natural beauty all around. Feeling very lucky to have these pictures that remind me how gorgeous our planet is. Let’s do everything we can to protect Mother Earth!’
