Jeremy Clarkson: The Grand Tour star talks ‘disaster’ at home with girlfriend Lisa Hogan | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

The Grand Tour star Jeremy Clarkson turned to farming ahead of his new series I Bought The Farm earlier this year. During an interview on DriveTribe, the presenter admitted growing vegetables on his farm hadn’t been going to plan.

Jeremy discussed his lockdown antics during an interview with DriveTribe last week.

When asked what he would like to do if he wasn’t on television, he replied: “I’m doing farming and I am absolutely useless at it.”

He added: “I’m trying at the moment, because there’s going to be a shortage of vegetables in the UK, because we can’t get enough people in to pick them.

“I thought, I’d plant some vegetables, I say I, I mean we, other people have been planting them on their hands and knees down for two weeks.

“About 80 per cent are now dead,” he added, before his girlfriend Lisa corrected him off camera in the background.

“75 per cent are now dead, so it’s all been a bit of a disaster, but some of it is coming along,” he added.

“I made a few masses, but it’s all coming along.”

Jeremy is believed to have bought the 312-acre farm in Chadlington, Chipping Norton for £4.5m in 2012.

But, he has focused more on his land since filming for his show I Bought The Farm.

Back in February, he also opened his own farm shop, selling “guaranteed non-organic” produce.

The presenter gives fans a regular insight into his farming antics on Instagram, in view of his 2.8 million followers.

In recent weeks, he’s shared snaps of his partner Lisa getting involved with maintaining the farm.

One picture sees Lisa painting a wall at the farm shop, while another sees her posing in a tractor.

Jeremy has been in a relationship with Lisa since 2017.

The couple went public at the GQ Men of the Year Awards in the same year.

He gushed about his romantic side in a rare admission on The Jonathan Ross show last year.

Guest Emma Bunton asked him: “Are you romantic? Are you in love at the moment?”

He simply responded: “Yes.”

Lisa is his first partner since his marriage to second wife Frances Cain ended in 2014.

He has three children from his marriage to Frances, and Lisa also shares three children with her former husband Baron Steven Bentinck.
