Emma Willis: The Voice host in major blunder as she steps in to cut husband Matt’s hair | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

The Voice host Emma Willis attempted to cut her husband Matt Willis’ hair during an Instagram live video on Friday.

The 44-year-old TV star turned hairdresser after the Busted star grew annoyed with his “horrendous” hair which had grown long and unruly during lockdown.

Mum-of-three Emma took to the social networking site yesterday to show off her handiwork after the musician joked that he was starting to look like his dad.

The presenter posted a picture of Matt, 36, on her Instagram account in view of her 1.6 million followers.

The Instagram stories snap showed her husband with his brand new look, but admitted that it wasn’t quite finished as there had been a technical hitch.

Emma captioned the image: “Technology beat us. To be continued…”

The couple, who are parents to Isabelle, 10, Ace, eight, and Trixie, three, had been live streaming the hair cut over on Matt’s account when their internet cut out halfway through.

The popular television personality was then left in the dark as she had been following instructions from hairdresser Oliver Moorhouse.

On the video she pointed out: “It’s not even at the back.”

Earlier in the day, Matt revealed his haircut plans when he spoke directly to his fans on Instagram.

He told his 381,000 followers: “At 4pm on Instagram live, Emma Willis is going to cut my hair.”

Revealing his nerves, the popstar added: “I’m quite nervous, I’ve never had hair like this.”

“I can’t quite believe it. Look at it, it’s horrendous. Absolutely awful. I feel like my dad,” Matt went on to say.”

After live streaming the event, Matt returned to address his followers.

Explaining the half-finishing hair do, he said: “Unfortunately technology beat us, we have terrible internet here.”

Showing off Emma’s hairdressing skills, he added: “So far she’s done this.

“And that’s as far as we’ve got, and we’ve had to stop. But we shall carry on and hopefully improve.”

Appearing to be happy with the results, he added: “But I’m quite impressed with this bit.”
