Hit Netflix series Dead To Me, left fans on the edge of their seats with its inaugural season, out last May.

And now stars Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini are returning to the small screen in their hit roles as Jen and Judy.

The trailer for season two, released Friday, catches up with the unlikely friends as another death lingers over their heads.

New season alert: Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini are returning to the small screen in their hit roles as Jen and Judy in Netflix’s Dead to Me, season two releasing May 8

The season one finale ended on a cliffhanger with Judy’s (Cardellini) ex-fiance Steve, played by James Marsden, seemingly being shot by Jen (Applegate).

And it seems Steve is toast in season two, which premieres on May 8, as the women struggle with more grief, secrets and try to avoid being caught for murder.

The trailer opens with Steve dead and floating in Jen’s pool as Jen and Judy look on.

‘We have to call the police,’ Judy is heard saying as Jen responds ‘How’s it going to look if I go to the cops, Steve killed my husband. My boys can’t lose me.’
