Bethenny Frankel embraces her natural side under quarantine: ‘This is what I look like most days’

The Real Housewives Of New York City alum Bethenny Frankel is embracing her natural side.  

While pulling back the curtain on Instagram versus reality, the Skinnygirl mogul shared an ultra-glamorous throwback in a sequined, multicolored minidress and shot another in a pair of sweats and red fuzzy socks on Thursday.  

‘This is NOT what I look like,’ the 49-year-old wrote of a show-stopping shot of herself with pin-straight hair, black stilettos and a flawless tan, which she sported for RHONY’s season 11 reunion in July.   

‘This IS what I look like,’ the self-made businesswoman captioned her next slide in athleisure, no makeup and her dark tresses pulled back into a ponytail. 

Frankel’s 2.2 million Instagram fans were quick to praise her realness, while also lamenting the Bravo series is not the same without her. 

‘I miss you Bethenny, the show isn’t the same with out your witty one liners,’ one fan commented. ‘Hope life is good for you. Fan forever!!’

‘Life is good,’ the reality star, who is dating Paul Bernon, replied with a heart emoji.

As Frankel quarantines with her nine-year-old daughter Bryn, who she shares with ex-husband Jason Hoppy, she’s been real about her appearance ‘most days.’

While cuddling up to her rescue pups Biggie and Smallz, who have 33.2 thousand Instagram followers, she shared a heavy post talking about the pandemic and asked, ‘Will our world be as superficial and materialistic as it was before this wake up call?’ 

‘If we’re not surrounded by people who feel that this is a change in the world, then we may choose to surround ourselves with new people,’ the mother-of-one said earlier this month, before opening about the ‘false reality’ of images. 

She added: ‘I long for the day when we took a photo, developed the film, and prayed for the best. It was authentic.’

The longtime reality TV vet admitted she is happier when she posts without thinking about what’s good for her brand or will get the most likes.   

Honest as ever, the BStrong founder, who left the Housewives franchise ahead of its 12th season, talked about a ‘world beyond’ fake filters, photos, eyelashes, hair, body parts and contouring. 

‘I’ve lived on “reality tv” for over a decade, & that wasn’t reality. What people are facing right now, that’s reality, & it isn’t pretty,’ she concluded, before adding that the coronavirus outbreak is a reminder of ‘what is real.’ 

Also on Thursday, the beauty shared a quick workout in a grey sports bra and matching leggings, while revealing her little one burnt chocolate in the microwave and stuffed an entire croissant in the toaster.    

‘So the smell of burnt chocolate and toast, and crumbs, is my day,’ she told her followers on an Instagram Story. 

Later in the evening, she showed some grey hair at her roots, while encouraging others to see who they really are and let their nails and faces breathe. 

‘Isn’t this the time to kind of let it go? The time to see who we really are?’ she said, before adding a GIF of Elsa from Frozen.
