After more than one year of waiting, After Life season two is streaming on Netflix now. The dark comedy has become a huge hit with Netflix users across the globe, with many calling it Ricky Gervais’ best work to date. Will there be more After Life to come? Will there be another series of After Life?
At the moment, Netflix has not confirmed a third series of After Life.
The second series of the dark comedy only dropped on Netflix yesterday (Friday, March 24) so it is still very early days for a renewal to be confirmed.

Netflix usually announces renewals and cancellations up to six months after the series originally aired, so After Life fans could be waiting until September 2020 to hear official news of the show’s future.
However, After Life season two was renewed quickly after the first series premiered, so fingers crossed fans will hear good news in the coming weeks.
If season three is given the green light, fans can expect the new season to arrive in April 2021 on Netflix at the earliest.
However, due to to the current coronavirus outbreak, production on a new series may be pushed back meaning a later release date.
Ricky Gervais, who created, wrote and plays the main character Tony in After Life has already spoken about his plans for a third series.
Speaking to press including Express.co.uk, Gervais said: “For the first time ever I would do a season three because the world is so rich.
“I love the characters, I love all the actors in it, I love my character, I love the town, I love the themes.
“I love the dog! So I would do a third!”
He continued: “But it’s got to be a real demanded-for encore. I’m not going to just do it.
“If this goes down a storm, and Netflix call me next week and say: ‘Listen, It’s gone through the roof – everybody loves it, we’d love to do a third,’ then I would.
“But I wouldn’t do it for the sake of it. I wouldn’t do it just to get paid, or because they want another show.”
Fans who have already binge-watched the entire new season have taken to Twitter to praise the second outing and many are demanding more.
One fan tweeted: “Just watched Afterlife Season 2. Ricky Gervais at his genius best. Fantastically funny and emotional but also heartwarming. Here’s hoping there is a season 3 @rickygervais”
